Press Release

Aerostar Festival Receives S-LSA Certification.

The Aerostar Festival R40S received certification as a special light-sport aircraft (S-LSA) on July 22, 2005.  The Festival R40S is manufactured by Aerostar S. A. of Romania and imported into the U.S. by LightSportFlying.com of Memphis, Tennessee.  Mr. Troy Hart of the Memphis FSDO performed the certification of the aircraft.

LightSportFlying.com, a subsidiary of Belle Aire Aviation, Inc., has signed an exclusive agreement with Aerostar S.A. of Romania to import and sell the Festival.  “Market research indicates that the Festival offers the features purchasers of Light Sport Aircraft want along with outstanding value,” said Rick Pellicciotti, President of LightSportFlying.com.  Mr. Pellicciotti went on to say, “Festival is of all-metal construction with side-by-side seating and tricycle landing gear.  Powered by the popular, Rotax 912 ULS 100HP engine, the airplane performs well and has a 500-pound useful load.  Festival is built using conventional aircraft construction and has rollover protection built into the structure.  We think these features are very important to safety conscious consumers.”  When asked about the price of the aircraft, Mr. Pellicciotti responded, “We have partnered with Aerostar S.A. to offer special introductory pricing on the first 10 aircraft imported into the US.  The introductory price of the base aircraft will be $64,900.00.  The regular price will be $69,900.00.  Numerous options for avionics, instruments and even an all-plane recovery parachute system are available.”

The Festival will be on display at AirVenture in Oshkosh July 25th through 31st.  Aerostar’s display space is number 39 and the aircraft will be located in the Light Sport Aircraft Mall next to AeroShell Square.  The aircraft will also be displayed at the U.S. Sport Aviation Expo in Sebring, FL on October 27th through 30th, display space number B-1.
